A month or so ago, Starbucks had this weeklong happy hour deal going on where all of their frappuccinos were half-priced everyday from 3 - 5 p.m. My wallet sang praises from on high at this revelation because though I love me some Starbucks, my bank account is not too fond of full-priced Starbucks delicacies.
During that week in early May, Mr. Picky Bitch and I patronized Starbucks locations across the city almost every day during happy hour, and each time we left the cafes with dreamy smiles on our faces and frothy, green tea soy frappuccinos (sans whipped cream, of course) in our hands.
The days of Starbucks' happy hour are over, but we are still hooked on the deep, earthy, sweet matcha green tea flavour of those half-priced green tea frapps. Needless to say, we were overjoyed when we received a bag of Kiss Me Organics organic matcha green tea powder in the mail.
Kiss Me Organics' organic matcha green tea powder is incredibly versatile, and a little bit of it goes a long way. (It's been two weeks and our 4 oz. bag is still going strong.)
According to its website, Kiss Me Organics' organic matcha improves skin health, boosts your metabolism, and increases your ability to focus. Basically, it's a powerhouse of awesomeness that will take your baking/lattes/smoothies to another level.
In the past two weeks, we've taken this matcha powder for a test drive and have made some super tasty noms such as:

Funnily enough, we still haven't gotten around to making Starbucks-style soy green tea frappuccinos (but if you have a great recipe, please send it my way!). However, everything we've made with this matcha powder has been amazing and I'd definitely give this product a five-star rating.
At the moment, Kiss Me Organics organic matcha powder is only available through Amazon, and it retails at $29 CAN. BUT one lucky reader will receive a full-sized 4 oz. bag of organic matcha powder completely FREE! Just enter below, help spread the word, and cross your fingers.

I just bought some matcha from Davids the other day. Attempted a tea drink today. Blended some matcha, vanilla almond milk and honey together then added boiling water. It was okay. No starbucks though. If/when I have something equivalent with the bucks, I'll let you know.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know Davids Tea had matcha, but I guess that makes sense.
DeleteMaybe the key to making it taste like 'Bucks is to just add a TON of sugar? Either way, I hope one of us stumbles on a recipe that rivals the sugary goodness of a green tea latte. I'll let you know if I come up with anything!
Ooohhh, I would make one of my old favorite chia pudding recipes! So good. I also need to make more matcha smoothies. I've wanted to try this brand out, great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWow, a chia pudding with matcha in it? That sounds amazing!
DeleteThanks for entering the contest, and good luck! :)
